Little Tikes 2-in-1 Blue Snug N Secure Swing
🧪 Materials Used
According to the user manual, the swing seat is made of polyurethane.
The hanging ropes come with metal hooks.
According to Target, the seat structure is “Plastic” and specifically “HDPE” (High-Density Polyethylene), and the swing does not contain BPA, phthalates, or PVC.
The T-bar / safety bar is also molded plastic. (Inferred from design and manual.)
⚠️ Safety Notes / Warnings
Based on the manufacturer’s instructions and safety documentation:
Age & Weight Limit
Recommended for ages 9 months to 4 years.
Maximum weight limit: 50 lb (23 kg).
Only one rider at a time.
Restraints / T-bar Use
Use the T-bar plus shoulder straps when used by children under ~3 years.
Never cross the shoulder straps.
When converting for older toddlers (over 3), you must rotate the T-bar underside and re-route the straps through the back of the seat as per manual.
Installation & Supervision
Adult assembly is required.
Always supervise children while they are swinging.
Ensure swing is attached to a sturdy support structure that can handle the load plus dynamic forces.
Use a soft surface underneath (e.g., wood chips, sand, rubber mulch) — avoid concrete or hard surfaces.
Make sure there’s enough clearance (6 ft / ~2 m) from other objects.
Strangulation / Wear Hazard
Inspect regularly: check the ropes, straps, seat, T-bar, and hooks for wear, fraying, or damage.
Do not hang the swing using a stationary hook without a nylon bushing, because a plain metal hook rubbing another metal hook can cause premature wear.
When hanging, make sure the swing is level; if the front ropes are uneven, push down on the swing to even them out.
Buckle Operation
The buckle is intentionally stiff: “Push firmly. Button force is deliberately high to prevent children from opening it.
General Use Warnings
Do not allow children to stand in the swing.
Keep hands and feet clear of moving parts.
Store or remove the swing when not in use (especially in bad weather) to prolong its life — metal hooks may rust if exposed to moisture.
